Websites, search & inquiry systems

Websites and search for growing businesses

Give the right buyers a clear reason to choose your business—and an easy way to start a conversation. Bring design, service content, search foundations and inquiry handling together around your next stage of growth.

For startups launching their first site and established businesses improving an existing one, reaching beyond their local market or preparing to serve a new country.

How it comes together

From first impression to a real conversation.

  1. Understand the offer

Useful service content, clear navigation and a next step.

  2. Make an inquiry

A usable form or booking route, with honest confirmations.

  3. Own the follow-up

A verified destination and a person responsible for the response.

Illustrative delivery structure. The agreed scope defines what is built, tested and operated; this is not a client result.

Choose the work your site actually needs.

Launch something new, improve what you have or find out why the site is underperforming. We help you choose the work that makes sense for your business.

New website

Translate your offer into useful service pages and a clear inquiry route. Choose a platform your team can operate, with essential integrations and room for agreed future work.

Start with: a Website & Inquiry Foundation with a defined page set and launch criteria.

Redesign or migration

Improve the experience while accounting for existing content, URLs and integrations. Inventory what must survive, map redirects, test important visitor paths and plan recovery before changing the live site.

Start with: a site and migration review, followed by a scoped redesign or move.

Website or SEO audit

Investigate a defined concern such as weak service clarity, crawl or indexing issues, mobile usability or a broken inquiry path. Separate technical findings from assumptions about demand.

Start with: an evidence-based findings report and a prioritized remediation scope.

Ongoing SEO or maintenance

SEO covers agreed search and content improvements with measured follow-through. Maintenance covers the named platform, updates, recovery checks and support tasks. Each needs its own work list and owner.

Start with: a bounded improvement cycle or a maintenance agreement with explicit coverage.

A website project, search improvement program and maintenance agreement have different outputs. We agree which you are buying, what launch includes and who owns follow-up. Search visibility, qualified inquiries and revenue depend on more than a technical release; no ranking or sales result is guaranteed.

What you get

Built for your business.
Ready for your team.

A site people can understand and use

An agreed page map, approved service copy and responsive page templates, with clear navigation and accessible contact paths. The scope identifies who writes, supplies and approves each piece of content.

Search and migration foundations

Descriptive titles, canonical URLs, appropriate structured data and a sitemap for the agreed pages. For a redesign, an inventory of existing URLs and an old-to-new redirect map preserve useful routes and identify deliberate removals.

Make it easy for the right people to reach you

A scoped form or booking connection, confirmation and failure states, and an agreed verification record. Application acceptance, receipt in the destination inbox and an actual appointment are checked and recorded separately.

How we check the work

Choose checks before the work starts, then retain the results against the version you review. A typical agreed checklist covers:

  • Approved pages and important visitor tasks on narrow and wide screens, with keyboard access and readable content.
  • Expected response status, metadata, canonical URLs, sitemap entries and any agreed redirects.
  • Form validation, confirmation and failure behavior; authorized receipt and booking checks recorded separately.
  • Known limitations, recovery steps, handover materials and the owner of each remaining action.

Getting started

What we need from you

We turn the business context into a delivery scope together. Your team supplies the facts, decisions and access it owns.

  • Your services, priority audiences and desired next step, plus a person who can approve scope and content.
  • Existing URLs, brand assets, approved copy and image rights; known problems and any available search or inquiry history.
  • Authorized access to the platform, domain and relevant tools, shared through an agreed secure method after scope is set.
  • An inquiry recipient, review availability and a decision maker for launch. Begin with descriptions or synthetic examples, not private customer files.

Review the work

See your website through your customers’ eyes.

Use the review environment to walk through real visitor tasks: understand a service, follow an old URL, send an authorized test inquiry and find the next step. The handover record identifies what passed, what remains open and which measurements need time after launch. This describes the delivery method, not a reported client outcome.

Explore our delivery approach

From first conversation to daily use

  1. Define the audience, business goal, current site constraints and first useful delivery. Agree the pages, content responsibilities, integrations, acceptance checks and exclusions before implementation.
  2. Build or improve the agreed scope in a review environment. Your team reviews the design and factual content; we check the site, migration rules and inquiry behavior against the written criteria.
  3. Review acceptance, resolve material defects and agree the launch decision. Where launch is in scope, retain a recovery path and verify the served site afterward; hand over access, source and operating notes as agreed.

Ownership and ongoing support

The agreement identifies ownership and access before the build. Avoid a handover that depends on one undocumented account.

  • Record who owns the domain, hosting, platform accounts, source code and custom content, along with any licensed components or transfer limits.
  • Deliver the agreed repository or platform access, editing guidance, integration inventory and recovery notes. Client-owned accounts are preferred where practical.
  • Define defect correction, change requests and optional maintenance separately. Monitoring, backups, updates and incident response need named coverage; continuous support is not assumed.

Remote collaboration, with responsibilities made clear

Butler is based in Detroit. We agree working hours, review responsibilities and the delivery language before work begins. For a business serving another market, we also assess local content, inquiry handling and operational fit; a translated page alone does not establish that readiness.

Different businesses. A connected approach.

Built around how your business works.

Start with what your customers need to understand and what your business needs to handle next. The right scope depends on your offer, your stage of growth and the systems you already use.

  • Startups: establish a clear offer, a credible first site and a practical inquiry or sales path before expanding the buildout.
  • Service businesses and professional practices: explain the work, help prospective customers find the right service and connect inquiries to the person responsible for following up. Keep confidential documents out of the public inquiry form.
  • Growing companies: organize service content and search foundations around the markets you can actually serve, while preserving useful URLs, existing content and important customer journeys.
  • Businesses connecting their systems: scope CRM, scheduling, customer portals or internal automation around a defined workflow, with clear ownership and separately agreed support.

A clear scope.
An informed investment.

The proposal connects the fee and schedule to the actual work. Confirm timing after content, access and review availability are understood.

  • Page and template count, design requirements, copywriting, asset preparation and approval rounds.
  • Platform constraints, existing content cleanup, URL migration, integrations and any selected-market adaptation.
  • Acceptance depth, launch responsibilities and ongoing delivery capacity. Hosting, domains, paid tools and third-party licenses are identified separately.

Your first project

Website & Inquiry Foundation

Define a bounded set of pages, approved content, search basics and one inquiry path, with written acceptance and handover. If an existing site needs diagnosis first, buy a scoped audit with prioritized findings and a remediation brief. An audit does not include the fixes unless they are explicitly added.

Discuss the right starting point

Before you commit

Can you improve the site we already have?

Yes, where the platform, access and condition make that practical. We review what is worth keeping before recommending a rebuild. A focused repair or content and inquiry improvement may be the right first project.

Does an SEO audit include implementation?

An audit buys a defined investigation, prioritized findings and a recommended next scope. Remediation, new content and ongoing SEO are separate deliverables unless the proposal includes them. Each finding should identify the evidence, likely impact, dependencies and a way to verify the change.

What will you measure after launch?

Agree a baseline and reporting window for the measures the project can support: availability, inquiry-path behavior, search impressions and clicks, and qualified inquiries recorded by your team. Indexing, rankings and revenue remain distinct. A passing launch check does not establish any of those business outcomes.

Do we need an ongoing retainer?

A scoped project can stand on its own. Maintenance, content production, SEO work and technical improvements are optional, separately defined services. We agree capacity, review cadence, exclusions and exit arrangements rather than treating hosting as a complete growth program.

Can you connect the website to our existing tools?

We can scope booking, CRM and other workflow connections around the access, permissions and error handling they require. AI features and internal software belong in their own defined scope; they are not prerequisites for a useful website.

Explore workflow automation

Can the project be phased or use a smaller initial payment?

Start with a scoped project and staged payments, then add work when it is justified. Reduced upfront cost with revenue-based payments is available for selected engagements. We agree eligibility, scope, measurement, payment limits and exit terms before work begins; no percentage or automatic eligibility is implied.

Make the build-or-buy decision explicit

If the site also needs AI features or internal integrations, compare the tools you already license with a custom build. Our AI-focused decision matrix is a useful companion for that part of the scope.
